Our story
Never limit yourself.
As children, we were convinced that anything was possible. Then, as we grew up, doubts crept in and limits appeared. When we became parents, we wanted to pass on a simple idea to our children: the only limits that exist are the ones we set ourselves.
An object that inspires, every day.
We were looking for decor that looked like them. An object that could remind them, every day, to dream big.
But we couldn't find anything. On one side, posters and pictures that stayed inside their frame. On the other, original works that moved us but were often out of budget.
So we decided to create what didn't exist.
Step out of the frame. Literally.
After a few sketches, a first artwork came to life.
The illustration literally steps out of the frame. A way to remember that limits are often the ones we set ourselves.
An idea comes to life.
Carried by our loved ones, we took part in our first exhibitions and launched a crowdfunding campaign. Your enthusiasm exceeded our expectations and allowed us to produce our first collection, in collaboration with artists from Switzerland and beyond.
This is the beginning of the Funky Frames adventure.
The next chapter is written with you.
A handful of artworks, a walk-in closet turned into a warehouse, three children, a lot of energy… and an incredible amount of support.
Today, Funky Frames has found its place in thousands of homes and in many partner shops. But our mission remains the same as on day one:
To inspire young and old to think bigger, starting by no longer seeing the frame as a limit.
